Autumn BleedingFrom here, the world looks different. The lights are small and dim, the people mere specks. The cars are only details, and the sounds of the city have faded to near nothing. It is autumn now, my favourite time of the year, if I were to pick one. It is a season of change. It is a season of death. The warmth once upon us of summer has slowly parted, leaving cool mornings and afternoons almost warm. The sun, once beating down upon our shoulders, has diminished and feels almost hollow. Noise. I am lying in my bed. It is dark out now, and if I were to turn my head to the right, I would just be able to see the moon and the stars shining brightly, peeking from behind the few scattered clouds, out my bedroom window. If I glanced down slightly, I would see my front yard and the street I grew up on, illuminated by flickering streetlights. If I were to open my window, I would be able to smell the damp, fresh air of the late spring, and possibly the drifting smell of my mother's rose bushes from below my window. And, maybe, the left over smell of batter and chocolate chips baking in an oven,Noise.

Heal.I am sick. Shut the front door, start on my feet down the street to the dirt trail that leads to a place where I can finally be. Run faster, faster, until my feet are aching and I am tripping with every step and fall onto rocks. The tiny gravel bite and tear at my flesh until my knees and hands have burst into fire... it's not enough, though. On my feet again, keep running. Faster now, my breath is hot my throat is dry and blood runs down my leg. Into the forest, jump over puddles, tHeal.
